Ranger Life Saver Instructor
The instructor who teaches life-saving skills to rangers, assesses them against the standard, and certifies the ones who meet it. Three weeks, on your ground, for rangers who already carry the clinical competence.

"When a colleague is injured, the rangers I trained know exactly what to do."
WHAT THIS COURSE BUILDS
Teaches the skill. Assesses the learner. Applies for certification.
Three teaching methods. One for skills with a fixed sequence — a tourniquet, taught the same way every time. One for skills that depend on the situation — the decision comes first. One for knowledge — it starts from what learners already know.
The instructor watches each ranger perform, corrects early, and decides when the standard is met. Then applies for certification with LEAD.
WHO IT IS FOR
An experienced ranger, moving into teaching.
You are a ranger. You carry Ranger Life Saver or Medical Responder competence. Your organisation trusts you to teach it, assess it, and keep it safe in remote places. The three weeks go into one thing: the craft of teaching.
Entry asks four things: a valid qualification, field deployment since qualifying, your organisation's endorsement, and safety discipline. Mentoring experience is welcome rather than required.
Cohort wants the clinical grounding refreshed first? LEAD adds the Ranger Life Saver module to the front.
ON THE COURSE
Three weeks on the ground.
Teach
Day one: the craft — lesson structure, the three teaching methods. Day three: your first lesson. Then you teach, take feedback, and teach again, all week.
Assess
You present to the class. Then the other side: you learn to assess, and practise it on each other with the real rubrics and the real sheets. At the end of the week, you choose what to practise.
Gates
Monday morning: the written paper. Marked by lunch, feedback one to one, retake the same day. Then your assessed lessons, and a full assessment you run yourself. Thursday: your result, face to face. Friday: the ceremony.
Everything is taught, coached and practised twice before it counts.
