Giving from the United States

Tax-deductible giving in the US.

LEAD Conservation is a Dutch foundation, but US donors can give in a fully tax-deductible way. LEAD is fiscally sponsored by Re:wild, a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID 26-2887967) — a well-established arrangement in US philanthropy through which an American charity accepts gifts that support a partner’s programs and projects. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed under the law, and your donation will support LEAD projects fiscally sponsored by Re:wild.

How it works

How a US gift reaches the field.

Fiscal sponsorship is a well-established arrangement in US philanthropy: an American charity receives gifts on behalf of a partner project and grants the funds onward. Here is the path your gift takes.

Step 01

You give to Re:wild

Through the fiscal sponsorship arrangement, Re:wild — a 501(c)(3) public charity — can receive gifts and donations from American donors to support LEAD programs and projects.

Step 02

You receive a US tax receipt

Re:wild issues the acknowledgement US taxpayers need to claim a charitable deduction on their federal return, to the extent permitted by law.

Step 03

The funds reach LEAD’s work

Re:wild grants the funds onward to support LEAD’s programs and projects, without charging an administrative fee. Online donations carry standard merchant-services fees of 3–5%, so LEAD receives those gifts net of processing costs.

Why this route

Full deductibility, zero leakage.

A well-established arrangement

Fiscal sponsorship is a long-standing practice in US philanthropy: an American charity accepts gifts that support a partner’s programs and projects. Many sponsors charge an administrative fee of 5–15%; Re:wild charges LEAD no administrative fee. The only costs are the standard merchant-services fees of 3–5% on online donations — LEAD receives those gifts net of processing fees. For you as a donor, it is simply a gift to a top-rated US charity.

A partner you can verify

Re:wild (formerly Global Wildlife Conservation) launched in 2021 and holds a 4-out-of-4-star rating from Charity Navigator. Its tax-exempt status is independently checkable through the IRS. You are never asked to take our word for it — the EIN above lets you confirm everything yourself.

LEAD is fiscally sponsored by Re:wild, a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID 26-2887967); donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed under the law, and your donation will support LEAD projects fiscally sponsored by Re:wild. LEAD Conservation and Re:wild are independent organisations; gifts are made to Re:wild, which retains the legal control and discretion required of a US fiscal sponsor. Beyond the US

Dutch and many EU donors give tax-effectively through our ANBI status. However you give, it reaches the same work.
